Kamala’s DOJ will take care of it.

The last guy who was indicted got 1 month house arrest and 20 hours of community service. To anyone who believes that a single major player in this conspiracy will ever see the inside of a courtroom I say: “I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd like to sell to you”.

If they offer Sussman a wrist slap without turning evidence, then you are right. I am not convinced that will happen, yet. I may forced to change my mind in a couple of weeks.

I don't blame people for being skeptical but lets give it a little more time before declaring defeat.

Just another bait and switch. All the big fish like the Clinton clan will skate. Disgusting. Rule of law, equal justice, due process....it’s all kabuki theater.

Wrong. Indicting the Hillary lawyer is FBI CYA. They are saying they were lied to and will claim that absolves them of responsibility for their crimes.

It is the EXACT same situation as Clinesmith. This is the process to show results as they shut the “investigations” down. This has been the plan since the day Barr was confirmed. The sham is over. This minnow getting probation is the result. Forget about it, Durham/Barr are no more relevant now than the investigation to determine who hired Craig Livingstone.

“It’s not yet time to break out the champagne, but cautious optimism seems warranted.”

Even if Durham had irrefutable facts pointing to Clinton and others, nothing would happen. And if there were actual trials, the corruption in the DC courts and judges would prevent any real justice from happening. Add to that the fact that DC, Virginia and Maryland, areas from which jurors would be pulled, are mostly democrats who if were jurors would be biased in favor of acquittal so again there will be no justice. To them the politics and democrat agenda is the most important thing, far outweighing justice and accountability.

You're probably right. Expecting justice for big name Establishment types is too much to expect in our two-tiered system of justice.

What gives me a flicker of hope is intrepid reporter John Solomon, who has been all over this scandal since the beginning. He still maintains this is a serious investigation. If so, it obviously is an uphill battle with all the corrupt forces arrayed against Durham. Solomon is closer to this than you or I, so let's give it a little more time and watch where it goes.

I saw one nugget in the indictment that is interesting. Paraphrasing it, it said that the “researchers, Sussmann, the Clinton lawyer, (Marc Elias) and a few others orchestrated a fake email to be sent through a hospital that implicated Trump et. al. and the Russian bank in communicating through the internet. The intriguing part is efforts the went through to get this connection set up so that they could present it as evidence of Trump’s collusion with the Russian bank.

I used to have confidence in Soloman. His reports about election fraud, the coups, the impeachments have been spot on. He should have won at least two Pulitzers. That being said, every opinion has had regarding anyone being held accountable, even with the mountains of evidence, has been dead wrong, every one. This is it, the minnow walking with probation. Accept it and move on.

Most of us have never heard of Sussman before

Most likely you did, if you were following the news, but have merely forgotten in the intervening years and because he’s not been hired by CNN/MSNBC to do analysis of his malfeasance.

There’s far more than these, but these give some of the gist:

Here’s an article on Sussman’s particular role:

Here’s an example from 2018 of main players:

Yes, Sussman’s lying to the FBI SOL runs over the weekend. He also either lied to a Congressional staff at a later date (or told the truth) and he was also in an active conspiracy with another legal client, tech services people, campaign staff...all of which could possibly be criminal as well. Durham picked the low hanging fruit with the SOL running. There could be much more. The indictment lays out explicit facts.

If, and that’s a BIG IF there’s more to come, we’ll know soon since the statute of limitations is running out soon on crimes committed in the lead up to the FBI’s and Mueller’s coup attempt.

statue of limitations comes up soon.

Unless they get it done soon—most will skate.
