Sorry, this is a DEATH BATTLE* and you take whoever helps your side...and then worry about who’s with you later. Otherwise, you LOSE, and you’re simply out of business. History is full of examples of people who lost and never got another chance.
*and, sadly, half the people here STILL look at the Democrats as “our friends across the aisle”, and if we lose now, big deal, we’ll beat them next time. After all, why else would they be sending their own kids to schools run by Democrats?
