No - it’s not adding up. This is new news about the BF flying home to FL August 17 and back to Salt Lake City Aug 23.
Aug. 12 - Police stop & question Laundrie & Petito after an argument at a grocery cooperative where one woman (Schulte) worked in Moab, Utah.
Aug. 13 - Two women (Schulte & Turner) last seen alive at a tavern in Moab, Utah.
AUG 17-(the night before the 2 women’s bodies were found) - Laundries left Petito alone at the hotel in Salt Lake City and flew to Florida to help his father move his & Petito’s things from a storage unit to his father’s house.
Aug. 18 - Schulte & Turner’s bodies found near South Mesa, Utah.
AUG 23 - Laundries flew back to Salt Lake City where Petito was waiting.
Aug. 24 - Petito facetimes with her mom as she’s leaving a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Aug. 25 - Petito calls her family to say she’s in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, which is on the way to Yellowstone.
Aug. 30 - Family continues to receive text messages from Petito’s phone until today, when the last text read, “No service in Yosemite.”
Sept. 1 - Laundrie returns with the van to his and Petito’s home in Florida. (Keep in mind Yosemite is about 2700 miles from Florida - about 40 hours of driving)
Sept. 11 - Petito’s family files a missing person’s report.

July 2: Petito and Laundrie depart- The couple left Blue Point, New York, where Petito is originally from on a planned 4-month cross-country journey with her converted cargo van.
“According to their social media posts, the pair traveled from Florida to Kansas, Colorado, and Utah, touring and camping at several national parks and natural attractions.”
