On this and other threads, FReepers are calling for him to be kidnapped, tortured and killed. This without any clue about his guilt or innocence.

Criminal defense lawyers universally say "never talk to the cops". I,myself,am a horrible liar...not even slightly convincing when I lie. So if I ever committed a crime I'd take that advice.OTOH I,like most reasonably intelligent people,am quite convincing when telling the truth.

As a result I'd have no problem talking to cops if I had noting to hide.In fact,if I was being accused of a serious crime that I didn't do I'd *insist* on talking to them...and if I was put on trial I'd *insist* on testifying in my defense...just as "Andy" did in Shawshank Redemption

The key to being a convincing liar is having a *very* good memory.
