I’m a massive cheesesteak fan. There’s the famous rivalry between Pat’s and Gino’s across the street. Frankly I think both have rested on their laurels for a while. I was there and did the taste test. Preferred Gino’s, but there are other just as good or better across the city

Your correct in your cheesesteak evaluation. There are a lot better cheesesteak places in and around the city but Pat’s and Geno’s were known for fast service and catered to the after hours crowd. People watching was a big part of the Pat’s and Geno’s experience which now includes watching people get murdered.

In the late ‘60’s there was a hole-in-the-wall little place on Walnut St at 13th St that sold the best cheesesteaks in the world...
