COVID appears to have a 99.75% survival rate for infected people overall, and even higher in children. Almost certainly, trying to keep it from spreading, when containing it imposes an exceptionally high economic cost, is a terrible strategy.

Plan A: I wonder when red states will start holding COVID parties. We used to have them for chicken pox, to get that over with when kids were young and the disease would be milder. I suspect they will make a comeback, but this time COVID.

Plan B: Democrats like to pretend General Washington vaccinated his troops. He didn't. He intentionally infected them with a known mild strain of smallpox so they would not be susceptible to the disease once they were in the field. Perhaps instead of looking for new COVID strains to panic over, we should be looking for a mild COVID strain to share with everyone.

Democrats will reject both plans because I am missing the point.
