The numbers we are seeing seemingly contradict the notion that widespread vaccination - coupled with natural immunity - would keep future outbreaks smaller and less deadly. Instead, many states with high vaccination rates- including ones like Vermont, Maine, Washington, and Oregon - are seeing higher case spikes than ever, along with a rise in deaths.

Things are not working out the way they were supposed to. Possibly, as this article suggests, these imperfect vaccines are backfiring and making the problem worse than it would have been without them. Rather than take a pause in the vaccinate-everyone mania, they are doubling-down and becoming more aggressive in mandating vaccinations and demonizing the unvaccinated.

There were experts who sounded the alarm about this potential before the mass vaccination campaign started. Many of them were censored, condemned, deleted, cancelled etc.

I couldn’t know for sure if this phenomenon will occur or not. It does seem to me that infections among vaccinated are on the rise, leading me to believe that the vaccinated are the super-spreaders of the virus. It is obviously possible both are true - that the mutations are evolving to survive in their hosts, and the hosts unaware and spreading these mutants.

I also kinda figure, since the vaccines never really promised to stop infection or contagion, that the best outcome of mass vaccination would be to reduce the numbers of serious illness and death. I think the powers that be believed this thing would eventually infect almost everyone. But why they bet the entire farm on new vaccines and spent more time and money poopooing research into re-purposing existing drugs that may deliver better outcomes among those infected (or, prophylaxis) than they did researching these potential therapies is anybody’s guess.
