For an operator, the teleprocessing jobs were great...set up whatever needs to be set up...create the handshake then go read a book as it now consisted of mounting\dismounting tapes for most of the shift.

I go into the service and when i get out, they installed a 370 - and former operators were now tape hangers\paper hangers and disk pullers. I lasted 3 months.
