“However, then the worth of wisdom over intelligence starts to shine through: “A bird in hand, is worth two in the bush.” So I’d take the $1M”
This “test” actually shows the (loosely-termed) “greed” or “risk tolerance” of an individual. Is $1 million enough or would you bet 1 million to take a chance on 100 million? Then, if you won the 100 mil, would that be enough, or would you begin to want more?
No judgment on anyone, regardless what they’d choose. This is just a comment on a social experiment. If everyone was like me, this would be a boring world indeed.
Me, I’d be happy with the 1 mil.
Nasty former hippie boomer follows woman at Target and harasses her for not wearing a mask:
He wears a badge! And monitors Target! No one better try this on me.
I would take the risk and go for the 100 million.
If I come up empty, I walk away being the person I always was… but now I’m also a person who was willing to take a big gamble and leave it all on the table. Embrace the risk. Live large then go home. A story for the grandkids. Bet on yourself! Go for bust, until you’re dust.
“There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask ‘What if I fall?’
Oh but my darling,
What if you fly?”
