How would you know you are in a region with 90+% “Delta” if they aren’t doing gene sequencing on each positive case?
Not being a wise guy, but that was the first thing that came to the front of my mind…
The genetic sequence of an isolated coronavirus has never been done. Read summary of so-called studies below.
Below is list of studies and their answer to “do your electron microscopes show the purified (isolated) virus?
1. Sharon R. Levin, et al, Isolation and Rapid Sharing of the 2019 Coronavirus, The Medical Journal of Australia, June 2020, replying author: Jason A. Roberts
Reply: The material was not centrifuged, so was not purified to have a density band as such. Oct. 5, 2020
2. Lee Poon, Malik Pelrus, Emergence of a Novel Human Coronavirus Threatening Human Health, Nature Medicine, March 2020
Replying Author: Malik Pelfus
Reply: “The image is the virus budding from an infected cell. It is not the purified virus”
3. Myung Guk Han, et al, Identification of the coronavirus isolated from a patient in North Korea with COVID-19, Osong Public Health and Research Perspectives, February 2020.
Replying Author: Myung Guk Han
Reply: “We could not estimate the degree of purification because we do not purify and concentrate the virus cultured in the cells”
4. Wan Beam Park, et al, Virus Isolation from the First Patient with SARS-COVID-2 in Korea, Journal of Korean Medical Science, Feb. 24, 2020.
Replying Author: Wan Beam Park
Reply: “We did not obtain an electron micrograph showing the degree of purification”
5. Na Zhu, et. al, A Novel Coronavirus from Patients with Pneumonia in China, New England Journal of Medicine, Feb. 20, 2020.
Replying Author: Wenjie Tan
Reply: “(We show) an image of sedimented virus particles, not purified ones”.

Because they don’t f’ing know.
When people use their brains and ask questions about things that don’t add up, yeah…it will be “chaos central”.
The alternative is having everyone shut up and listen to the authorities, which is what some people want.
Personally, after being lied to repeatedly and openly by them, I tend to stop listening to “the authorities “.
No disrespect to you, I’m just saying…
Legit question. I think at least some County Health departments do include on their website a profile of what variants are prevalent.
I guess the correct answer in general is what was alluded to. The treatments that you would receive will not very depending on what mutation you have. I don’t know of any change to treatment recommendations for Delta versus the original strain. I suspect somewhere on the CDC site there is a listing by state perhaps of mutation type.
Which is all a long way of saying I don’t know.
The CDC admitted that it can't tell the difference between the virus and the flu.
I don’t think they quite said that, and what they did say was that they would be transitioning to a different test rather than PCR on 1 January 2022 and that states should begin to acquire a different test. Many already have. So in four months this issue of PCR testing will become moot. For those states that have already transitioned, it already is moot.
The government is lying to us!
Unfortunately in almost all areas. immigration, crime, elections, health.
They have an agenda
So you're admitting the tests aren't accurate. And if you can predict the future, what are the winning numbers for tomorrow's Mega Millions lottery going to be?
The fact that the CDC has knowingly promoted using a test they knew didn't work for the past year and a half, and continues to promote until the end of the year, tells me that the bureaucrats in the CDC don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. And neither do you.
talk about silly.
If you can’t test for the Delta variance how would you know you are in a 90% Delta variance area.
Because they told you so!! Good logic when they are lying to you all of the time.
You guys are running around in circles.
Correct, a PCR test does not differentiate influenza. If a doc suspected influenza, he would order an influenza test. He might order both PCR and influenza, but likely not because Covid and flu don’t present identically.
The Delta mutation is tested for by genome sequencing. Not PCR testing. They aren’t the same thing. It is genome sequencing and an adequate sample size for a region that informs the 90% delta declaration for a region.
The new tests from FDA likely will differentiate flu and Covid, which saves the bother of a flu test.
Good answer. Nobody seems to know these things, but everyone (not you) seems to be screaming “DELTA VARIANT! DELTA VARIANT!” and I have been wondering...how the hell do they know?
Perhaps they randomly take samples and run some kind of sequencing test and find out of 100 random samples, 64 of them are the Delta Variant, and they just extrapolate that out?
I don’t know. Nobody anywhere that I have seen answers that. LOL, I was hoping some Freeper in in Chaos Central might pipe in...
they pull the answers out of their backside where all their answers come from
That’s because Covid is Covid. It doesn’t matter which variant you have. Get vaxxed and you’ll probably be fine.
“The CDC admitted that it can’t tell the difference between the virus and the flu.”
Not true. They said the Covid test doesn’t test for Flu.
........
You mean just like Israel, not Sweden.
Those are deaths WITH Covid, not necessarily FROM Covid.
Makes perfect sense to me!
