I guess I just like statues. But it’s also that, we bent over backwards to idolize the conquered indian. Gave them tens of millions of acres of land. While we shut conquered generals in the museum basement and never did make the South whole -even kept southerners from going west for a time much less industrialize to compete with the north.
The statue is gone, the dead is done so all we can do is laugh and poke fun at their antics. But not too long, because ‘they’ are not satisfied with southern heros - now they want the Lincoln memorial
