If the (alleged) protective effect is due to nicotine, then those vapor products would likely work. On the other hand, if the effect is due to some chemical byproduct of tobacco combustion, then those nicotine vapor products (as well as patches and gum) wouldn’t help.
From what I’ve read, it’s the propylene glycol in the vaping fluid that kills covid.
I think it may be the nicotine. I was reading something last night about niacin doing something equivalent to nicotine in the cells. To combat stomach fat I believe. But anyway it said that they were kind of cousins, nicotine and niacin.
