It wasn’t long before every fast-food bag and plastic grocery bag had the flag on it. I remember quite a bit of trash on the street that had the flag on it.

I joined FR almost a year to the day before 9/11. Good to have been here—a bastion of (mostly) sane conversation.
Like any community we have our kooks. But a lot of goodness too, thank God for all the good prayerful people here on FR.
Was driving back home after dropping off the kids at school, listening to the local talk radio… the host reported a plane flying into the WTC. Thought it was a light plane, until I got home and turned on the tv - second plane flew in and my husband called from work to ask WTH was going on… what a horrific day.
I remember in the aftermath, feeling the nation turn to God, but then as time passed, I noted a real push from news and the media to insure that that did not continue.
Dear Lord, please, guide and strengthen us in these strange and troubling times.

I also recall hearing about the first crash on the radio, on the local "conservative" radio station in SF. Just about every year on 9/11, they replayed the audio of Lee Rodgers' announcement on the air. Chilling then, still chilling now.
This morning, I turn on the station to see if they are replaying it, or anything about 9/11. What do I hear? A Commonwealth Club recording of Liz Cheney prattling about who cares what. Followed up at 6 AM (just about when the planes hit) with INFOMERCIALS pitching "health" products.
Lordy, lordy, how this station (and this nation) has gone to heck in a handbasket over the past couple years. No wonder I hardly listen to it anymore.
That was only part of the issue.
They hate us BECAUSE they follow ISLAM and we don’t.
We’re not even allowed to say that.
The “hating freedom” is a natural outgrowth of Islam.
I will never forget that day either. But I didn’t know anything about it that gorgeous idyllic morning until as the 1st WTC collapse happened. We were well sequestered for a regular meeting. I missed just about everything. But the scattering and changes as this happened in the area was amazing…and the planes landing over and over next to our plant, then the total silence I was not used to.
Anyway, I thought it might be a turning point, but it was not the equal of the evil commie progressive take-over worked on already for some 50 years, easily 30 years since the watershed time of the hippies who hated us.
Is that because it’s Saturday instead of their mainstay weekdays?

today, i especially remember and honor Todd Beamer and the passengers Flight 93. even a surprise attack by the enemy, let by our corrupt shepherds into an unlocked front gate, can be resisted and even defeated at the very last breath.
thank God for the brave, those willing to sacrifice—even themselves. today, thank You Lord for the peace keepers, Your remnant, where ever and how ever they fight on for America.
