At this point, you start to believe that everything you see on the internet is a lie.

Could be, but one must remember what Al said:
“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”

Perhaps, but what I take from this is that there are no limits to what people will post. If you climbed into the way back machine and went back to 2003 for example, you would find privacy lobbying groups arguing for this legislation or that, expected to protect privacy. Then social media flourished and proved that very large majorities of the public do not value privacy at all, regardless of what they tell surveys.

This woman talking about intimate functions online - yikes.

Back in the day when Al Gore owned a chunk of Current TV they had a young woman host who did a lot of experiential reporting - going out and trying skydiving, etc. One episode etched into my brain cells had this reporter going to get a colonic cleanse. She was actually lying on the table narrating the different steps in the procedure and you could see clumps of stuff flowing out through he suction tubes. I was appalled when I first saw it - but I thought, if this person has any future in journalism at least we now know her lowest point. Of course not - because media (and social media even more so) has dragged us so low we do not know what direction is up anymore.

I’m not sure if younger people even mention privacy as an important concern when talking with opinion survey interviewers. They clearly act as if it does not exist.
