Sometimes it's how you handle people. If you go in there fussin' and cussin' "Y'all blew up my car ya bunch a turd wads!" it might lower the odds of them treating you gracefully.
I sell used cars, as part of my closing (when you buy a car) I remind them they are buying a USED (normally a 100-150,000 mile car) and they do break. I’m happy to help them get it fixed but I don’t help people who try to abuse me on the phone. I hang up on them.
Consider: It might be hard to maintain normal levels of composure under those conditions.
So they mess her car up, charge her for it, then literally burn her car to the ground and she’s supposed to be calm, cool, and collected about it?
What planet are you from? I’d be pretty angry about that too.
She says she called Walmart again and this time they told her to go to an Auto Zone for a full diagnostic, and to bring the car back. She claims she was told they would fix the lot, pay for the repairs, and put her in a rental. She says by the time she made it back however, the Walmart Auto Center was closed, and she was forced to take the half-crippled car home and come back first thing in the morning,
Do you know how she dealt with it for a fact, or are you just assuming because you are projecting?
That's irrelevant anyways.
She had every right to be angry and the store should have done the right thing from the start regardless of how she responded.
My cousin was one of the people who had the mesh installed for a hernia. Not only did they need to remove it, they had left a sponge or something like that in him. The surgeon agreed to take care of their added bills and so his wife would call the office 3-4 times a week with questions, bills from other doctors etc. and the receptionist got tired of hearing from her and went off on her.
She called the next day and asked to talk to the office manager and informed them that their goal had been to make sure their bills were covered but after the incident with the receptionist, they had hired a lawyer.
The surgeon, office manager did everything they could to try to smooth out the situation but the line had been crossed. I don’t know what their settlement was but I know it allowed my cousin to retire at 59.
