To: Oratam

A friend of mine and her family were grilling in the backyard.
A storm came thru.
They were moving things inside, her son got hit and killed by a lightning strike.

It scares the bejeebers outta me.

Interesting that when I am in a storm (usually on a golf course) and the hairs on the back of my neck rise, I’m looking for shelter.

I meant no disrespect. Lightning kills and it appears to act indiscriminately. Take care out there, people.

If you ever want an insane lightning show, live through a thunderstorm in the mountains. It’s insane. I went through one in the mountains of Western MA once when me and three friends on mind were camping. We all jumped in my truck and rode it out. It was fierce. Also experienced another insane one in the mountains in northern NH in a cabin.

It’s all fun until someone gets struck.
