Lightning is fascinating. True story - when I was in my mid 20s, I had a condominium (apartment style, cheap) that faced east. It had an outdoor balcony and I used to sit on it during thunderstorms. It was covered, of course, and the balcony faced east so seldom did I get any incoming wind or rain. I sat on that balcony many times and watched the storms go by.
I've know people who are terrified of lightning to the point of running inside and staying as far from windows as possible. It seemed irrational but I've been out exposed during a thunderstorm and have felt my blood run cold. It's no joke, I get it, but from a safe vantage, is there any better show on earth?
