Those who are unvaccinated were nearly six times more likely to be hospitalized with severe COVID illness in August than those who have received the vaccine, according to a New Jersey Hospital Association analysis of COVID hospitalizations.
Nearly three in every four patients hospitalized with COVID, or 73.3 percent, had not received a single dose of the vaccine, according to data reported by N.J. hospitals through the NJHA COVID-19 Data Portal. A new bulletin from NJHA's Center for Health Analytics, Research and Transformation provides a snapshot view of data from Aug. 31, as reported by hospitals through the NJHA COVID-19 Data Portal.
The full breakdown of the vaccination status of hospitalized COVID patients shows:
73.3 percent are not vaccinated
23.7 percent are fully vaccinated
3 percent are partially vaccinated.
With nearly 5.6 million fully vaccinated individuals in New Jersey and 2.7 million still unvaccinated, the roughly 265 vaccinated patients and 730 unvaccinated patients this August equate to a hospitalization rate of 4.33 per 100,000 for the fully vaccinated and 26.33 per 100,000 for the unvaccinated. All told, the unvaccinated are nearly 6 times more vulnerable to serious COVID illness that lands them in a hospital bed.

The problem with these stats is that if you are within 14 days of being vaxxed, thy count it as unvaxxed. That is a serious problem making the stats enormously unreliable and deceptively primed for propaganda

If it takes that long for the vaccine to provide protection, why shouldn’t it be counted that way? Also the vast majority of persons are probably outside those 14 days.

I don’t know what you mean by that (probably something not good), but not counting the effect of vaccines that way would comparable to measuring the efficacy of aspirin in reducing the pain from a headache by including assessments made just a few minutes after you take the pills rather than waiting for them to take effect.
If you’re in the hospital and only had one shot you’re counted as unvaxxed. If you had two shots but were less than two weeks from the second shot you are counted as unvaxxed. If you had two shots but the second shot was more than three months ago you are counted as unvaxxed. Those are the rules the CDC uses to determine who is and who isn’t vaxxed in the hospital.

That’s standard practice. No reason whatsoever to eliminate data and not record data. You know very well that is manipulation regardless of whether the vax or med or whatever has yet had an impact. It is dishonest and you are being dishonest with yourself by making an excuse for not reporting data
