I’ve been in a derecho before about 80 mph but they can be higher.
It went on for hours and my single pain windows back then were flexing and felt like they would pop inward. Fences trees and power poles took big hits plus house roofs and shingles.
Big Joe is talking about the “Derechos” that commonly hit the midwest...They produce straight-line winds that do cause a lot of damage.
