Go ahead and laugh, but it's not funny to me at all. In fact, I am being forced to wear a mask that significantly impairs my health, via hypercapnia (look it up).

I cannot tolerate a standard surgical mask for more than 15 minutes without hypercapnia becoming obvious.

I have been able to use N99 respirators, with an external filter and fan to clear CO2 from the mask between breaths, for as much as an hour, but even that requires me to pause a second between exhale and inhale to allow the CO2 to dissipate from the mask.

And what's worse, I have been told that airlines will not allow me to use my respirator on an airplane, I must use a regular mask instead.

Therefore I am actually just not allowed to fly

Why don’t you get a mask made of cotton gauze? It looks real but in a dark color it is like not wearing anything. Look on Etsy.
