The vast majority of them did not- they were escorted into the building by capitol police- and basically given a tour of the place by them- yet they got locked up-
Realize that and like everyone else, I’d like to see who got arrested and exactly for what.
I saw people remaining in the rope line too.
My thoughts are, if I was there, and watching people climbing walls, getting tear gassed, to me, that’s a clear sign to stay out.
Escorted in or not.
But, because in life there’s always a “but”, I don’t really know for sure what I’d do because people were acting on impulses and in the moment.
I agree that great injustice is happening to those people that were arrested.
Every day that goes by I’m stunned they’re still sitting in jail.
