“...Australia, which was once known to be a first world country...”
A friend who used to work in Australia once told me that you could absolutely infuriate Aussies by telling them that even though they spoke English, they were still a third-world country. Don’t know if I’d try it myself.
Sure seems like they’re a third-world country.
