Willard was also the first 'Ronald McDonald'.

I liked seeing him, especially his daily tributes to selected centenarians that he did on 'Today'.

As a broadcaster, he was in a class all his own.

He created Ronald MacDonald for the fast food franchise. Then, was told he would not be the mascot, though they would use his clown design.
