Does anyone know which Five Republicans voted with Democrats to pass the amendment in the Defense budget requiring women 18 years to 25 years to register for Selective Service?
If we need to reinstate the draft we’re going to need people to make sandwiches for the troops. Might as well be prepared.

By the way, I am a practicing Christian, honor my Lord in every way I can. He never blessed my husband and me with children but we have used what we have to provide for Christians around the world.

Being a godly Christian mother, raising the next generation of godly Christian citizens is very patriotic. Without that, the CORE of a nation, the military has little real to defend.

there was a time when men would never allow their daughters or wives or sisters to be in danger....
women will gladly register for the draft, but its shameful that men would allow it OR that its needed....

Yes, you are correct. It goes from some women WANTING to be in combat to . . . every woman MUST be registered and prepared for combat.
I was writing this in letters to Rep. Lee Hamilton (R-IN-9) twenty-five years ago. And while women were serving in combat in Iraq, Hamilton was writing to me on official House stationery that women will NEVER serve in combat, and therefore women will never be required to register for Selective Service. And he was telling me, in so many words, that I was mental for believing that it would ever happen.

I absolutely despise whatA the Women’s Movement has done to women and the entire country. I grew up in the 60s and I’ve seen this seed sprout into a deadly vine that is choking the life out of this country.
