I wonder if so-called ‘long-hauling’ is akin to what is often called ‘Walking Pneumonia’. Had that once as a teen and it was brutal. But being young you just sort of worked through it. If I had been older I think I’d have had a much tougher go of it.
I’m a long hauler. I have COVID scarring all over my lungs. After several months, I am off the inhalers but still need steriods occasionally.
It also damaged my kidneys. Thankfully, I no longer need Cipro.
The biggest hit was to my endocrine system. It was depleted. I went on a regiment of progesterone, an estrogen cream, and testosterone boosters.
That made all the difference in the world. Huge energy boost. Brain fog went away. Libido is back.
Went from clear lungs to COPD to Emphysema in 8 months. Last lung functionality test put me back at Stage 1.
