I was in good shape. Not overweight, was able to trek around pre-COVID Italy for 2 weeks in 2019, walk several miles a day, climb to the top of towers, etc., with no problem.
A year later, I could barely get off my couch.
It was nothing for me to traverse 11 flights of stairs for a building inspection in 2019. In 2020, I could only do 2 floors at a time before exhaustion set in.
Here’s the thing; my whole house got COVID, probably with me being the original carrier.
My husband and eldest son didn’t miss a beat.
My two youngest kids had flu like symptoms for about 3 days each.
I get why some people see it as nothing more serious than the flu.
Just wish I was one of them.
I see, and yes, funny how it’s selective like that. That’s probably part of why it feels threatening despite the low fatality stats — its capriciousness. I hope with more time you’re able to get back to full normal.
