As summer wanes hope rises that the cold, wet weather will at least push these thronging bicyclists off the clogged roads since there seems to be nothing that can induce them to leave the roads to use the bike paths now.

Bicyclists sharing the trails with hikers - put a dang bell or horn on the handlebars! Saying “On your left” at anything less than a shout doesn’t work with older hikers who may have a hearing impairment. This is a $5 item, takes 3 minutes to install and will go a long ways towards lessening the ire felt by bipeds.]

For me, the season is just starting!
Down here in Bentonville the temps have rarely gone south of 90 (At least on days I have off).
A friend of mine is bringing his boys and their bikes down here from NYS for a week or so of Bentonville trail boondocking. It’ll be fun. I can catch up with them on a few days and hit some of the trails when the weather cools off.
Hope to see some folks on the trails!
