There is nothing wrong with choosing to get the vaccine, if that is your choice.
Everyone should be able to choose. Like masking. If someone wants to wear a mask, I am all for it, if that is their choice.
I got vaccinated for my work, because in my line of work, that is what we do. If someone refuses, that should be their choice.
Where I draw the line is at government or employer mandates for vaccination or masking for everyone. That prospect is turning me into a radical. If my employer had left vaccination voluntary, I would have gotten another, even if I felt it put me at some risk, because...in my field, that is what we do for our patients.
But mandating it has changed that for me. I don’t know what I am going to do.
The tough issue is “what is informed consent”?
If one side has all the airwaves 24/7 with “public service announcements”, “news” broadcasts, and Big Tech censorship of opposing points of view is that a level playing field for discussion of the benefits vs the costs of vaccine?
I am convinced the answer is “no”, and therefore I must presume the risk of the vaccines outweighs the benefits.
