As of August 15, 2021, 68% of COVID patients admitted to hospital in the U.K. who were over the age of 50 had received one or two doses of COVID injections. By mid-August, 59% of serious cases in Israel were also among those who had received two COVID injections, mirroring U.K. data
Only in the 50 and younger category were a majority, 74%, of British COVID patients unvaccinated. Those claiming we’re in a pandemic of the unvaccinated fail to differentiate between age groups
The same applies to COVID deaths in the U.K. Unvaccinated make up the majority of deaths only in the under-50 age group. In the over-50 group, the clear majority, 70%, are either partially or fully “vaccinated”
We cannot rely on U.S. data [SNIP]
Reanalysis of Pfizer’s, Moderna’s and Janssen’s COVID trial data using the proper endpoint show the shots are hurting the health of the population, and if mass vaccination continues we face “a looming vaccine-induced public health catastrophe”
A new study shows that vaccinated individuals are up to 13 times more likely to get infected with the new Delta variant than unvaccinated individuals who have had a natural COVID infection
[SNIP]
“Four weeks working on a COVID ward makes stark the reality that the majority of our hospitalized COVID patients are unvaccinated and regret delaying. Some are very sick including young adults. Please don’t delay your vaccine.”
[SNIP]
As you can see, as of August 15, 2021, 58% of COVID patients admitted to hospital who were over the age of 50 had actually received two doses of COVID injections and 10% had received one dose. So, partially or fully “vaccinated” individuals made up 68% of hospitalizations.

Thank you, your post hit home.
My brother had 4 negative at home tests before the 5th was positive. Of course he had all the symptoms. Had the test been more sensitive, or had they gone elsewhere for a rapid test instead, my brother may have been well enough to get the monoclonal treatment that he surely would have qualified for.
Whether he could’ve gotten an appointment to get an infusion is another question. It seems like there were a series of missteps, which is why I feel it was his time. We just didn’t know it until he had multiple organ failure. At that point, we had to accept what was happening.
That's why they've got the South African "Doomsday Variant" warming up in the bullpen.
Thanks, just ordered. Should trigger a few........
You’re an inspiration, musicman. Just donated to FR with a dedication to some of my FR hero’s, MM, Ransome, Jane and of course the one and only the baggy one. It’s funny, I had a pain, almost a gaseous one while I was reading this thread. Then you all came along and poof! I feel great!

Thanks for sharing those links...however they don’t support the notion that the Johnson vaccine is as effective or better than either Pfizer or Moderna. I was particularly interested in reading about the medical physician who had taken the Johnson vaccine initially, but chose to get a Pfizer booster.
Its a match made in vax heaven.
You can name your first child 'Vaximillian Helicopter'.
A lie from a “health” bureaucracy. Who’da thunk?
Lol...drop dead loser.

Don't talk to Bluepimp like that. Respect your WAY elders.
I’m not so hot on mixing. It makes it harder to ascertain efficacy. In a metastudy of DC and OK, Pfitzer had a breakthrough rate of 0.17 - 0.2%, so I’m pretty comfortable with 0.2 - 0.3% breakthrough for JJ, given that breakthroughs increase immunity and give the best of both worlds - naturally acquired plus vaccine acquired. I’m curious why the MD would boost already, given that JJ was 3 months lagging the rollout. Boosting with Moderna, at 0.12% - 0.13% would be more logical - for breakthroughs anyway. I guess I’m a vaccine purist :)
