Randolph AFB for The Thunder Birds.

Lived about 2 miles from the Gate and inline with the Runway/Glide Path We were still sleeping Saturday Morning and were awakened with an F-4 in AB warming up!!!
Best Alarm Ever !!! You don’t sleep through that one...

My sister lives a mile or so from Westover AFB...which is where they do a lot of maintenance for the C-5. One routinely sees them taking off a few hundred feet over her neighborhood!

A couple of years ago the Blue Angels appeared at an air show at Westover. For a couple of days before the show you could see them...and hear them...doing their practice routines over her neighborhood. Damn it was fun to watch!
