During my first visit to Singapore (many years ago) I couldn't help but notice that the landing card we had to fill out had on it,in big,bold letters, “Death To Drug Traffickers Under Singapore Law”

And then,while waiting in line to get to the Immigration Desk, there was a sign,in several languages,saying the same thing. I was so spooked that I was tempted to toss my blood pressure pills into the "amnesty bin" that was right next to the sign. But I didn't...and I wasn't executed.
