Dallas-based Texas Instruments will require all U.S. employees and contractors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 29, the company said in an internal email.
According to the message sent to employees last week, those who don’t comply with the mandate and don’t have an approved medical or religious exemption will be fired. The mandate applies to all employees, even those working from home full-time.
“In light of the accelerating spread of new variants, we are requiring our U.S. employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19,” said a company spokesperson. “We have no greater responsibility to our employees than to provide a safe work environment. Now more than ever, vaccination remains the No. 1 defense against the spread of COVID-19 and is the best way to protect our employees and our community.”
It’s not all Woke this or that.
The price tag of a Covid hospitalization is averaging $50K, whether the patient dies or not. The TI health plan has to eat this, and premiums will spike.
TI shareholders would vote out management if they did not require vax.

We have had no problems after attending any types of events, shopping, or visiting with unvaccinated friends and family. We even had an event at our house with over 30 people... again no problems. But my fully vaccinated woke sister-in-law and her soon to be promoted to General woke vaccinated husband stayed with us for a few days and we got sick. We got over that and then we had some other vaccinated folks over for a few hours, the next day we were not feeling well. And this was repeated another time after that. Was it Covid... I don't know.
We have come to the conclusion that in our case at least it is a good idea to stay away from the vaccinated. They seem to carry something that gives us froggy voices, headaches, and coughs. And having it once doesn't seem to mean that another group of vaccinated can't give you something else that is similar. Sorry to all you vaccinated folks, but you are not welcome at our house. Giving into fear, pressure from the government, woke corporations and propaganda has consequences.
I honestly thought they went out of business years ago.
TI is not a good company.
Telling valuable engineers to find work somewhere else is a great way to to destroy a poor company.
Intel did something similar back around 2015-2018 and they figured they could replace them with cheap Indian engineers.
So many engineers left that it crippled them and they are still suffering.
There it is, folks. No freedom in your own house. Not that it's really your house.

I hear the really smart PHD engineer types are likely to have more confidence in the vaccines. This probably not going to go over very well. What’s that floating in the punchbowl?

It is gonna get real interesting as more and more vaxxed folks get Covid and end up in the hospital.
Keep watching the numbers...they are a changing...
They might threaten their employees but back off when people start quitting. We will see.
What most folks should do is get their resumes out there and start looking now—then jump ship when they can.
Hopefully it is before the final vaxx mandate date.
If they can’t jump ship in time, then they have a tougher decision to make.
Tip—the employer has declared war on the employees with the Vaxx mandate. That makes them the enemy. You _never_ let the enemy know what you thinking....
