THE Delta variant strain of Covid-19 is causing a severe uptick in infection cases throughout the United States.
The highly-contagious variant is accounting for over 80 percent of the nation's Covid-19 cases, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.
How do they test for the Covid-19 Delta variant? Although there is no specific test for the Delta variant, it’s likely a positive Covid-19 result indicates you could be infected with the variant, according to Human and Health Services of Texas.
The reason is because the majority of Covid cases in the United States are the Delta variant.
Gee, I thought the only way to identify any virus is for CDC to tell us when we are all going to die.
Did you see the two Covid specials?
Outstanding...
So would that be a SWAG or a WAG or TAD throw a dart or pull the diagnosis DOH, out of the hat.
Your hypothesis is probably, more accurate than my guesses/postings above.
Using the same PCR Test that the CDC recently admitted cannot distiquish the Flu from the China Virus?
The don’t have a test
As contagious as the chickenpox, and just as deadly would be my guess. We should be having Covid parties, everyone get it and get over it. Isolate the rest who are sickly and old.
SWAG has been abandoned for UWAG, Unscientic Wild Ass Guess.
>>> How do they test for the Covid-19 Delta variant?
Are you sick?
Yes
Are you vaccinated?
Yes
You have the Delta Variant from the un-vaccinated
"According to Human and Health Services of Texas, the volume of positive cases is the main reason why genomic sequencing is not performed on every test."
They are using sampling and statistical approximation to the population based on available data and estimates on the error. This is how most population statistics are created.
"The Delta variant appears to be 50 percent more contagious than the alpha variant, according to scientists at Yale Medicine."
"A CDC document that was leaked revealed the Delta virus is as contagious as chicken pox, which could be carried and transmitted by both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals."
Leaked or "unofficially released"? Either way, this explains why the Delta variant is such a problem right now.
They’re testing for variants by genomic sequencing.
Straight from the mouth of our resident county health doc.
Our area has a large university with ample lab facilities and they’re doing the testing.
However, it is NOT on a case-by-case basis, but on a sampling basis to gauge the incidence.
It validated what I already suspected. Delta is almost entirely what’s making the rounds, according to the sampling here and based upon posts made at FR.
This month...
In order to specifically check for the Delta variant, a genomic sequencing Covid-19 test is required, which certain labs and local health departments have access to.
They check to see if you have the sniffles and are not dead
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the detection of Covid in your snot just an indication that you’ve been exposed, not infected?
Yeah, I've seen them. Probably time to watch them again.
It’s a genomic test.
Hospitals don’t run those—they are too expensive.
If you’ve been vaxxed and you show up to the hospital…it’s likely the Delta.
It’s the delta variant because we have to keep the fear porn going so we can continue to make money on the shots.
IOW, assume your conclusion.
In my state all cases are “presumptive.”
Process of elimination. If it’s not American, United, Jet Blue, Southwest or Alaska, it must be Delta.
Simply is Delta because there did simply no way the vaxxed could be getting sick. Therefore: Delta.
