To see that post of yours made my head swell with pride, ransomnote. Granted, I didn’t write that to elicit praise like that, but as I said to another Freeper, I felt a flame in my heart as I was writing it.

I have heard that expression before, but until last night, not sure that I ever felt it the same way, at least in that sense.

I have to guard myself against pride, too, but...kind of a funny experience for me a few years back when I was protesting near the White House with a bunch of folks from the incomparable DC Chapter of Free Republic, and was holding a sign to support the troops, when an older couple (obviously tourists) came up to me and asked if I was Gary Sinise!

Now, I admire Gary Sinise a great deal, and I don’t look ANYTHING like him, but...boy, that swelled my head for a while even thinking that someone could make that mistake!

In retrospect, that pride in a mistake like that could not have been healthy in any way, even though it was kind of fun...:)

Anyway, that post of yours was greatly appreciated, to see I made contact with someone on this point.

Thank you.

Thank you for that inspirational post and putting into words my own feelings about this past year and a half.

Quoting someone else I heard, but can’t remember who,

I was able to relate to this as well. Thank you.

Four years ago, I was suddenly faced with the realities of an aortic aneurysm that pulled my valve apart. I never felt such peace in my soul knowing that when I woke up, I’d either see my husband or Jesus. Didn’t matter. It taught me that when the rubber meets the road, I would NOT FEAR! That may seem selfish to some, but I had time to get everything in order before surgery and I knew my loved ones would be taken care of.

Fear overcame my old church. I found a new one.
