—”Kennedy family is idolized”

With Sirhan Sirhan soon to be on the loose and this article and many others...
Appears the Kennedys are losing their juice, or maybe drank it?

Yep, I’ve wondered, who the heck decided the Kennedy family is like an American royal family?

Regardless of politics, we can all feel sympathy about the assassinations of JFK and RFK.

But sometimes, some have said the Kennedy family is cursed, and mention events such as Chappaquiddick and the William Kennedy Smith rape case as Kennedy curses. I think that’s absurd, because Chappaquiddick and the William Kennedy Smith rape case were self inflicted scars on the Kennedy family.

I think the idolization started with the great sympathy the family received after the assassination of President Kennedy, and just grew from there.

JFK had more madly in love women than a traveling vacuum cleaner salesman.

He was a bigger horndog than Bubba.

It’s horrible.

JFK may not have been as bad a Dem as modern ones but he was no saint at all.

I think he is lionized mostly due to Martyr Syndrome. I see this so much in history, including non-human. Have someone die or worse, be murdered and suddenly they are unforgettable and often a saint.

I was highly gratified some 20 years ago to see a feature in American History mag wherein they had overrated and underrated.

The big thing was Kennedy was overrated. I mean, how does this guy honestly keep hitting the top 10 much less top 5 of presidencies?

I don’t think JFK was evil. If all these stories are true (or even have a grain of truth), he was probably a sex addict. However, IMHO, that does not make one evil (unless it involves rape).

I think Ted was evil. Not Hitler evil, but he certainly seemed to hate the America he grew up in.

Not sure about Bobby as I don’t know enough about him. But he seemed like a zealot and the zeal with which he pursed the Mafia probably helped to get JFK killed (though I doubt that was Bobby’s intent).

Probably the best Kennedy was Joe and he died in WWII.
