Possible, but easier to run a password cracker against FR usernames to get their password then use those accounts to spam FR. The FR (”virtual”) server is now in the Dallas area (”Linode”). The old physical server that John R. had co-located in the San Jose, CA area (NTT data center) was retired after NTT closed their data center there.

I was going by comments where some were invited to login and instead got crazy connections or were invited to login multiple times.   One person said they had tried to login but got a voice message with a foreign accent that said "Don't touch that dial."   That has to be a network routing issue.   Getting a bogus login today has nothing to do with spamming on the list of articles on the forum.

Thanks for the info about the server relocated to Dallas.   I made numerous trips to Plano and Richardson through the 80's and 90's.   I used to work at the Verizon Business (legacy MCI) Data Center in Atlanta at 450 Interstate N Pkwy, Atlanta, GA‎ that was sold to Equinox a few years ago.   That is in addition to several other locations in the Atlanta area including the Regional Junction and other terminals and wire centers.   I have been retired for six and a half years and only revisit those times in my dreams and nightmares.
