Originally, Harris had been set to fly to San Francisco next to stump for California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), who is facing a recall election just two years into his term as governor. She is now slated to return to Washington, D.C. instead.

Three possible explanations:

Her handlers figured out that she couldn't possibly help Newsom.
Polling has shown that Newsom is toast anyway.
The The RAT party has figured out how to "harvest" and "create" enough votes anyway that what happens really doesn't matter.
Which is it?
