Monica Lewinsky said that she requested the infamous scene where she flashed her thong to then-President Bill Clinton be added to the upcoming series about their affair, “Impeachment: American Crime Story.”
Lewinsky, 48, was a producer on the show, and said the writers initially left the scene out.
“I would’ve loved to have been really selfish and said, ‘That’s great that you guys think we don’t have to show that, fantastic,’ but I’m incredibly experienced in understanding how people see this story,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Lewinsky noted that, just or not, she would have been blamed if the scene wasn’t included.
“So, ultimately, I felt two things: One was that I shouldn’t get a pass because I’m a producer,” she told THR. “And two, that it was unfair to the team and to the project because it would leave everybody vulnerable.”
Lead writer Sarah Burgess said she left the scene out because she didn’t want to further traumatize Lewinsky, THR reported.
“American Crime Story” showrunners first planned a Clinton/Lewinsky-based season in 2016, with Lewinsky joining the project in 2019. Showrunner Ryan Murphy told THR that he wouldn’t have pushed forward without Lewinsky’s approval.
Beanie Feldstein will star as Lewinsky, and the two talked constantly as production started and stopped throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, THR reported. No other people, including the Clintons, were consulted on their portrayal in the show, which premieres Sept. 7 on FX.

I checked to see if it was vaccine related, but it wasn't. According to one article:
"The coroner’s office listed Feldstein’s first cause of death as a pulmonary thromboembolism, a pulmonary embolism resulting from a clot originating somewhere else in the body. His second cause of death was deep leg vein thrombosis, a blood clot. Acute bronchopneumonia and obesity were listed as other significant causes in the death of Feldstein, a music talent manager who died at age 40 on Dec. 22, 2017."
He would have been a prime candidate for Covid death if he hadn't died from the deep vein thrombosis and obesity, or he might have died after getting the vaccine.
The problem with today's TV programs, is that they manage to shove that down our throats one way or the other. The gay, transexual, etc. community is over-represented in TV shows today. If an alien from another planet came here, and only watched network programming, they'd think everyone on this planet was homosexual, bi-sexual, transexual, etc.

A friend of mine at that time (with a daughter the same age as mine), in answer to my question. said if his was daughter 21 he would have considered it OK for Clinton to do what he did. Yes, the friend was a far leftist. Boggled my mind to hear him say that. It was very disappointing also.
The problem for Lewinsky is she was a ditz then and is still one. I’ve listened to many of her ‘talks’ about what happened....when there’s no script she’s as ditsy headed as she was then.
Lewinsky should have just faded into history, change her name and move on in life. Instead she began giving interviews and continues giving talks to this day. She enjoys the limelight for obvious reasons....it pays.
Yes, that’s certainly true. He died in 2017. Just think HOW obese he would have to be to die of a clot at age 40!

Do know what the subject of the thread? Monica asked that the thong scene be put in the series. She IS what she IS.
We were very fortunate to have gone on three West Wing tours during the Trump years. We asked our guide (WW employee) about people hanging out near the Oval Office & he said someone like Monica would have set off all kinds of bells as access is tightly controlled as to where you can be and when.
