It’s not hard – your stars are right there, generals, right on the shoulders of those new uniforms you decided to adopt with the express purpose of evoking World War II and the memory of victory over a modern, peer-competitor military. Maybe, you thought, wearing winner’s gear would ease the pain of getting creamed by a bunch of Seventh Century throwbacks.

Ever notice that one of the things that losing sports teams love to do is change their uniforms to include a ‘throwback’ style? This is sorta that.
The one thing I would not criticize Miley for is the uniform. Army blues make him look like the Chief of a VFD which is an insult to the fine men and women who serve as volunteer fire-fighters.
But the problem is that the fight is not in the uniform, but in the soldier, and obviously we have few fighting men wearing 4-stars these days. What idiot would choose Kabul Airport over Bagram as the place of exit.

I would just observe that when physical contact is legislated out of NFL football that shoulder pads are just a fashion accessory that can be eliminated.

The original date was May 1st so the Pentagon should have had a plan in place by then. Even if Biden delayed the withdrawal there was no reason not to remove sensitive material from our command centers as well as begin shipping large equipment out.

We could probably fire 95+% of our flag officers and not only not be harmed by it, but be better for it.
Every part of our government is a clown show. Even if we somehow have a competent president, and even if he appoints competent cabinet officers (over the objections of careerist losers like McConnell), those cabinet officers have nothing but hordes of amoral, woke losers incapable of any actual work.
The Great Reset needs to actually happen in Washington. If you fired every last government employee and banned them from working for fedgov for life you would probably be taking the necessary first step in a return to some semblance of sanity.
