I had an Aunt that retired as an Army nurse in the early 70s after a 30 years career. I remember her taking us to the first McDonald’s when it opened up on our hometown. She always called it, “Mac Donald’s.” I remember the shirts and hats. Lots of very fond memories of a different country. I can still remember how those fries tasted and smelled. Today’s versions are a sad and empty shadow of what once was.
