On a road trip with my 20-something daughter and the dead skunk song came to mind for obvious reasons.
I think that led to the song about “My plastic Jesus on the dashboard of my car”, and later on the epic “Alice’s Restaurant”. She got a kick out of all of them.
I took many road trips with my 4 kids. I’d never heard that dead skunk growing up but we all heard it 1st together, immediately loved that ditty as we sang along in the car.
Another artist my kids enjoyed to the hilt was Haywood Banks.
My fav HB song is: Toast
but the kids favorite was: The Cat got Dead
