As for comparing - the best data I have is for soccer players:

My data shows (so far, and far from complete):
116 unusual Soccer events including: 87 collapses during game or training - 64 under the age of 25 - 64 mention heart issues, 60 heart attacks, 3 myocarditis - 53 deaths (38 deaths under age 30)

You really can't use that study to determine the number of deaths. The authors never tried to do that and they explicitly say they know they are underreporting deaths.

"However, the goal of our article was not to assess the incidence of SCD but rather to evaluate the surrounding or associated factors leading to SCD events as a hypothesis-generating approach to understand what triggers SCD at a specific time in athletes who, in most cases, have had an underlying congenital condition throughout their whole life and career [2].
