In a television news interview, Giroir was pressing for more people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 when host Dana Perino asked about the role of natural immunity.
"So natural immunity, it’s very important," acknowledged Giroir. "There are still no data to suggest vaccine immunity is better than natural immunity. I think both are highly protective."
There are still no data to suggest vaccine immunity is better than natural immunity. I think both are highly protective.
Dr. Admiral Brett Giroir, Former Asst. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Continuing on, Giroir said, "But I think you, if you have proof of Covid infection, right now that’s still equivalent to vaccine immunity. And even The CDC recognizes that. If you’re an American coming back into this country, if you’ve had proof of a previous Covid infection, you don’t even need to be tested. So I think when businesses reopen, they ought to consider natural immunity, vaccine immunity, all equivalent to get you back in the workplace."
Three months ago, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimated more than 120 million Americans had been infected with Covid-19, and so would enjoy the presumption of immunity. CDC has not updated that figure since the end of May. The true, current number is many millions of people higher than the May figure which, many scientists say, was a very conservative estimate.
That would mean, vaccines aside, half or more of the U.S. population is likely protected with natural immunity.

People who had SARS-1, 17 years ago, are STILL producing antibodies/are immune.
They are likely immune to this...and, ALL cv’s.
Side note....I recall reading....early on, when china virus (Wuhan) was first escaping/arriving....that people who’d had the ‘vax’, for SARS-1, were some of the ones succumbing to SARS-2 (in China).
I’d have to go back to those old threads to find the link.
Point taken, thanks!
The fact that they would try to argue this is on its face absurd.
A vaccine is basically a way to “trick” your body into thinking it has the real disease, and build up immunity to fight it. The trick is never better than the real thing....
So if I didn’t have it then, that means I haven’t gotten this “highly infectious” virus in 18 months, during which time I didn’t wear a mask for the first 4 months and went to Disneyworld & Vegas. I diligently used hand sanitizer, took a variety of supplements, and wore a cotton mask around crowds. I basically used common sense behaviors in my daily life which has served me well so far.
Incidentally, I’ve never gotten a flu shot because I’ve never had the flu. However, I’ve had bronchitis at least 4 times in my adult life which is apparently above the norm. People’s bodies are all different so maybe their immune systems are just as varied.
And that was even before Covid!
Thanks for posting this.
"U.S. official finally acknowledges Covid-19 natural immunity: 'As good as vaccine'"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
To the contrary concerning the title of the referenced article, that natural immunity is as good as vaccines, it's very questionable if the experimental CV19 “vaccines” are possibly interfering with healthy natural immunity in my non-medical opinion.
First, UK is alleging that CV19 "vaccines" have now killed more people than CV19 virus.
[UK] Official Data shows many more people have died due to the Covid-19 Vaccines in 8 months than people who have died of Covid-19 in 18 months (8.21.21)
Next, Israel is claiming that natural immunity is much better than "vaccine"-based immunity.
Next, CDC, Fauci, probably should have let healthy natural immunity do its job in my non-medical opinion.
It wouldn't be surprising, in my non-medical opinion, if all that the CV19 virus did was to reveal widespread vitamin D deficiency for hundreds of millions of artificial lighting urbanites.
The first two links below reference Dr. Ryan Cole.
Our greatest weapon against the coronavirus is Vitamin D: Board-certified pathologist (3.29.21, probably no lucrative government contracts to be made from making vitamin D3 imo.)

The antibody test is nearly free...Labcorp.com
You have the option to request the antibody test through Labcorp.com. While the test itself has no upfront costs, there is a $10 non-refundable service fee for the physician order through PWNHealth. The $10 service fee is not submitted to insurance for reimbursement. Labcorp will bill the cost of the COVID-19 antibody test directly to your health plan if you are insured, or if you are uninsured, Labcorp will bill the appropriate government program.
Anyone else feel like they are being filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, and numbered, in order to get official approval to acknowledge what we already know?
The last data I have see, which came from Dr. Moran was based on about 18 months of cases.
The data is of course an average and the top and bottom of the curve covers an extreme variation.
However, when the 18 months of data is extrapolated out, the conclusion is that natural immunity will last (on average) 4 to 5 years. This of course means a booster at some point.
However in 4-5 years we can hope for better medications than what is being offered now.
I've had three doctors tell me that.
Come on man, that was 4 or 5 days ago...
And, those are REAL docs, not FRoctors.
This will be ignored, totally and completely.
There is only vaccinated and unvaccinated.
Submit, says our government…not of or by the people.
The nice thing about natural immunity is you don’t have to get booster shots.
