Yes, Brian was greatly replaced by Mick Taylor who was their best lead guitarist - think "Gimme Shelter". Bill Wyman (did some interesting runs) was replaced by the long time black bassist (name?), who I don't understand doesn't join in the Stones' bows. He just walks off stage.

They say Keith is an even better bass player than a guitarist. You can see him on bass on "The Dirty Mac's" "Yer Blues" on the Rock and Roll Circus movie.

Oops, Taylor didn't play lead on that song. It was Richards. However, he did play on the rest of Sticky Fingers. Guess I was thinking about "Can't You Hear Me Knockin". Even then, Richards did the opening rift. Again, it was Charlie at his best.
