If you ever saw “Beware of Mr. Baker”, you’d know Ginger wouldn’t have been shy to go after that punk with his cane.

Much Respect for Charlie Watts !!

As Keith Richards said in 1979: “Everybody thinks Mick and Keith are the Rolling Stones. If Charlie wasn’t doing what he’s doing on drums, that wouldn’t be true at all. You’d find out that Charlie Watts is the Stones.”

The Rolling Stones must be setting records for longevity.

They have been big stars in parts of seven decades — the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and now into the 2020s. That’s got to be a record that few if any in the music business have ever attained.

He is probably getting high fived down the road to the Pearly Gates.

Rock and roll heaven just got a whole lot cooler.

Rest In Peace.

Keith will see you in thirty years or so.

Charlie appreared to be the only real sober one. See what clean living gets you? Keith Richards was already embalmed.

FWIW, David Crosby turned 80 a few days ago and Grace Slick turns 82 this year.

Charlie did mess around with heroin a bit in his younger days. I think Mick is the only one who really steered clear of drugs.

🎤🎹🔊🎸. LOL! At this point it’s all relative. But at 74, I’m still going to open mike/jam sessions and even some actual gigs. Who knew?

Mick probably did some pot and coke in moderation back in the day, but he’s been a health nut since the 70s, runs 5 miles a day, or least he did up to recently. I think he also had some kind of heart issue a few years ago that needed attention.

You can see him on bass on “The Dirty Mac’s” “Yer Blues” on the Rock and Roll Circus movie.

I watch that video on Youtube at least once a week. Great live show. Jumpin Jack Flash is awesome.

"The Stones should have kept Mick Taylor, one of the greatest guitarists ever"

I believe Taylor left the band to pursue other interests. I saw in an interview that he regretted it. Although Rod Wood can hold his own, Taylor was their best.

Funny. I was in a store in Rio Rancho, NM several months back and had a great conversation on 60s/70s music and 8-tracks with a young 20-something clerk and an old Hispanic guy customer. It was a blast talking music. I’m trying to get my 17-year-old son to listen to more than just pop. He’s got a quirky taste in music, just like me. So far I managed to get him on to The Clash, Metallica, Boston, Meatloaf and several others. Heck, h even listens to Marty Robbins.

Yet Keith Richards is still alive.

As is Betty White.

What debauchery did Betty partake of?

David Crosby is still alive? For some reason, I thought he was dead. Thanks for the correction.

I can include Crosby with Keith Richards and Chuck Negron on my “How in the heck are they still alive??” list.

The last time I saw Grace Slick, she looked remarkably well, considering her age and lifestyle.

"think "Gimme Shelter"

Oops, Taylor didn't play lead on that song. It was Richards. However, he did play on the rest of Sticky Fingers. Guess I was thinking about "Can't You Hear Me Knockin". Even then, Richards did the opening rift. Again, it was Charlie at his best.

Yeah, it’s my favorite Stones album that isn’t a compilation or some sort of “Best Of...”.

Maybe Sticky Fingers.

Yeah, the Stones were uneven at best in concert.
