With ten years in the military she will not be losing her health care
A ten-year veteran has essentially zero health insurance benefits. They aren't retired, so there is no tricare for life, no tricare for retirees. If she got a medical discharge, perhaps, but that's about it.
At best the VA will treat continuing injuries if they're service-connected, but pregnancy certainly is not.
The army does offer something similar to COBRA, but no more than 3 years, at pretty high premiums. And she was what, seven years out?
The only way a majority of non-retiree vets get health insurance is by finding a civilian job that offers it. And if she's forced to quit / fired, then her current insurance is gonna drop her. And who's gonna hire on a half-pregnant lady, even without benefits? Hey, welcome to work, we've got you a month of training and then.. oh hey, you'll be gone for a month or two. Yup.

A ten-year veteran has essentially zero health insurance benefits The problem this lady has is she likely has made too much money this year to qualify for Obamacare or VA healthcare. If she is eligible for VA, she would likely be way down on the priority list..

I dont know where in the hell you all get your information about the VA but my sister was in the Air Force for TWO years and has full benefits from the VA. FULL BENEFITS.
She served during an undeclared war also.
Matter of fact, you all are full of snit!
“VA will pay for prenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care for eligible women Veterans, as well as care to newborns for the first seven days after birth for all eligible women Veterans. Many details are involved with pregnancy care.”
