Anyone who would consider having the 82nd jump into that environment is an idiot high ranking officer who just wants a new shiny bauble (combat jump wings maybe) for his own uniform.
Airborne has earned the right to post his reality:
He Served with the 82ND Airborne for 3 years (Co. C 2/504 (Abn)(Inf)) before being discharged with a SCI (T-4 complete). Expert Infantry Badge, Jump Wings (US & Canadian), Army Commendation Medal, PNCOC, Recondo School.
