umm everybody in the mountains here has FRS... 14 mile range and more....covid 19 vaccine killed them...

Thats why it`s called Devil`s Gulch...we got one here too called Devil`s Kitchen and NOBODY goes in there, NOBODY...warnings from 300 years ago already....from the Iroquois and the Dutch......

FRS is useless in the mountains unless you’re on a mountain peak. Between the mountains you’re screwed. You want reliable in the mountains, go with HF 40 or 80 meters.

Though most of the manufacturers claim a longer range, such as 30 miles, the real scenario is entirely different. You’ll receive excellent clarity for the distance of 2 miles in mountain area from some top-rated walkie talkies. However, most of the walkie talkies ensure a range of 1 mile in forest and mountain area.
