the Qld/NSW border is the southern end of Australia’s premier tourist attraction, the Gold Coast. a minute’s walk from the protest is Snappers Rock, home of Quicksilver Pro and Roxy Pro surfing championships.
the whole Gold Coast has had multiple lockdowns, or heavy restrictions. businesses are going under at a fast rate.
yet the Gold Coast has not had a single “covid” death that I know of!
