1973 was also when Taliban Joe began his "illustrious" career in the Senate. Besides Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Joe Namath, Pres Trump's ally Burgess Owens were still at the top of their games. Mohammed Ali had the bragging rights to call himself The Greatest. It was before Hammering Hank Aaron beat Babe Ruth's HR record. Band on the Run and Smoke on the Water were two of the biggest hits. And speaking of Buicks Telly Savalas, as Kojak was tearing up the streets of NYC in his Regal. "Stavros, Sappperstein, CROCKER!"

I thought people here would like to see the baseball footage. This channel on YouTube rescues rare footage like this from personal home video collections as the networks threw out or taped over newscasts, sporting events, and all sorts of other rare programs.
